Hallo ihr lieben Menschen!
Das letzte Mal, als wir euch geschrieben haben, waren unsere Nachrichten eher unerfreulich. Heute möchten wir euch daran anschließend mit Updates versorgen - und euch zu einer Veranstaltung am 1. November einladen!
Die Situation in der Weserstraße 212
Die Resonanz auf unseren Hilferuf hat einiges in Gang gebracht. Wir konnten an vielen Gesprächen und besseren Umsatzzahlen merken, dass es auf jeden Fall auch im Reuterkiez viele Menschen gibt, die den Laden und die Idee einer neuen Wirtschaft wirklich unterstützen wollen! Nach einer ersten kleinen Welle der Begeisterung gingen die Zahlen aber nochmal zurück. Dann kam das absehbare Ende des Sommerlochs und nun haben wir eine Situation, in der der neue Laden zwar immer noch rote Zahlen schreibt, allerdings nur noch so wenig fehlt, um hoffnungsvoll in die Zukunft zu blicken. Trotzdem können wir noch keine Entwarnung geben, denn rote Zahlen bedeuten, dass wir noch mehr Menschen für den Laden und unsere Idee begeistern müssen.
Auch mit den akuten Problemen, die uns intern beschäftigt haben, bewegen sich Dinge in die richtige Richtung. Dabei können wir uns über einen klaren Erfolg freuen: Das gesamte Orgateam hat endlich wieder aufgehört, so ganz so viele Überstunden zu machen! Und das parallel zu einigen Urlauben! 😁
Auch beim Thema Chaos, beim Aufgabenstau und den Erwartungen, denen der Laden oft merkbar hinterherhechelte, sind Besserungen sichtbar. Zwar sind wir noch längst nicht in der feinen, uhrwerkmäßigen Selbstorganisation angelangt, die wir für durchaus möglich halten. Doch es scheint durchaus wieder greifbarer zu werden.
Mehrere Menschen verlassen das Orgateam, einige neue sind schon da und jeden Monat kommen ein paar neue Mitglieder dazu. In diesem Gewusel sind wir gespannt, welche Dynamik sich in der Weserstraße langfristig entfalten können wird - die aufregende Phase ist noch nicht vorbei.
Kein Grund nicht zu feiern
Wir laden endlich wieder zu einer Veranstaltung ein! Viel zu lang ist es her, dass das gesammelte Mitglieds- und Nachbarschafts-Konglomerat sich bei Suppe und Limo den Sinn und Zweck der Sache zu Gemüte führte. Deswegen freuen wir uns ganz besonders, euch gemeinsam mit dem Café radikallecker in die Weserstraße 212 einzuladen. Wir geben uns mal wieder richtig Mühe und bespielen Café und Laden mit diesen Programmpunkten:
- KÜFA: Es gibt Suppe auf Spendenbasis und das Café bleibt bis Abends auf
- Kurzvortrag: 10 Minuten Gelaber über die Finanzen und wieso wir eigentlich glauben, dass ein neues Wirtschaftssystem aufbauen eine gute Strategie ist.
- Ideenwettbewerb: ROBIN’s Zukunft ist gerade wieder relativ offen. Der letzte Mitgliederrat ewig her. Warum also nicht mal die Ohren spitzen, was eigentlich alle wollen - und die besten Ideen dann machen? Das ganze ist optional und dezentral, es wird also kein großes Plenum geben ;)
Stattfinden wird all das am Mittwoch, den 1.11. um 17 Uhr. Der Vortrag beginnt etwa um 18 Uhr. Gegen 20 Uhr planen wir, wieder zusammenzupacken.

Hello dear people!
The last time we wrote to you, the news were rather unpleasant. Today, we would like to give some updates and invite you to an event on November 1st!
The situation at Weserstraße 212
The response to our call for help has set a lot in motion. We could see from many conversations as well as improving numbers that there are definitely many people in the Reuterkiez neighborhood who really want to support the store and the idea of a new economy. But after an initial wave of enthusiasm, the numbers declined again. Then came the foreseeable end of the summer break, and now we have a situation where the new store is still in the red, but by an amount small enough for us to look hopefully towards the future. However, we cannot yet give the all-clear, because being in the red means that we need to inspire even more people to support the store and our idea.
We are also making progress with the acute problems that have been occupying us internally. On one domain we can celebrate a clear success: The entire orga-team has finally stopped working so many overtime hours! And that's happening at the same time as some vacations! 😁
Improvements are also visible regarding on the topics of chaos, backlog of tasks, and expectations that the store often struggled to meet. While we are still far from the fine, clockwork-like self-organization that we consider quite possible, it seems to be becoming more tangible again.
Several people are leaving the orga-team, some new ones have already arrived, and a few new members join every month. In the midst of this hustle and bustle, we are curious to see what dynamics will unfold in Weserstraße in the long run - the exciting phase is not yet over.
No reason not to celebrate
We are finally inviting you to an event again! It has been far too long since the collective conglomerate of members and neighbors gathered to contemplate the purpose and meaning of it all over soup and lemonade. That's why we are especially excited to invite you, together with Café radikallecker, to Weserstraße 212. We are putting in a lot of effort and will be filling the café and store with these program points:
- KÜFA: There will be soup on a donation basis, and the café will stay open until the evening.
- Short lecture: 10 minutes of talking about finances and why we actually believe that building a new economic system is a good strategy.
- Idea competition: ROBIN's future is currently quite open. The last member council was ages ago. So why not listen to what everyone actually wants - and then implement the best ideas? The whole thing is optional and decentralized, so there won't be a large plenum ;)
All of this will take place on Wednesday, November 1st at 5:00 PM. The lecture will start at around 6:00 PM. We plan to pack up together around 8:00 PM.
Feel free to bring your people along! Neighbors, guests, and friends - everyone is welcome.
